See it for yourself
From the founding of the college to a lifetime-achievement honour — the craft in motion.
South Africa's college of auctioneering for nearly 40 years — the chant, the ring, the ethics and the law. Plus the one skill no other school teaches: live online auctioneering.
From your first bid-call to running auctions online — structured courses with hands-on practice, taught by working auctioneers.
The full craft toward a National Diploma — bid-calling & chant, ring control, ethics, clerking and auction law, plus valuing real estate, livestock and machinery.
The modern channel. Run real English, Dutch, sealed-bid & live online auctions on a working platform — the only auction school in SA teaching it.
Short courses for working auctioneers — specialist formats, the legal layer (POPIA, CPA, audit trails) and advanced bid-calling.
Every student runs and bids in live online auctions on a working system — not slides, not theory. It's the channel the industry is moving to, and we're the only SA college that teaches it.
Founded in 1986 by Col. Hedley Harris. SAIA-accredited and long affiliated with the NAA, with a SAIA Hall of Fame for education.
You don't watch — you do. Real chant practice, real ring time, and real online auctions you run yourself.
Learn from working auctioneers and join a network of graduates across livestock, property, vehicles and estates.
The only SA college teaching live online auctioneering and its legal layer — so your qualification stays relevant.
In the wake of the 1985 recession, Col. Hedley Harris travelled over 12,000 miles to the United States to study the craft at the Worldwide College of Auctioneering. He returned with a vision — and in 1986 opened the doors of the South African College of Auctioneering, laying the foundation for a structured, professional approach to the trade.
Founder of Hedley Harris Auctioneers and bearer of the respected title "Colonel", he has trained over 50,000 students and was inducted into the SAIA Hall of Fame for Education in 2011. Today the Harris family carries that craft forward — pairing the timeless fundamentals with the tools of a digital auction industry.
